At the weekend I booked a camera and a tripod hoping to get the rest of my filming finished, however due to the bad weather I was unable to finish it.
I have been lucky enough to keep the camera and I am finishing the filming tonight, and should be finished filming tonight so I can edit tomorrow and the video should be done by the end of the week.

Setting up the tripods
These are some shots from when I was filming the clouds at college yesterday.
We had to set up the tripods for 20 minutes whilst clouds went past, so it could be speeded up in the video to give the effect that they are moving fast, and this is at the beginning of my video.

Beginning of my second draft
This is the second draft of my music video to Lana Del Rey's National Anthem.
I feel this is a much more improved version of my first draft, and I am carrying on filming this weekend to ensure that the final music video will be hopefully finished by the end of the week.

Setting
Last night I filmed my performer and a few long shots of the sky, on a field behind my house. The footage I filmed will be edited and uploaded onto my blog later on today and tomorrow, and I will also upload a picture of the setting to show how suitable it is for my music video.
When filming, the sun was just setting and was shining bright, which gave a very good effect and looked really good in all of the shots, and I tried to include this as much as possible.

Influential album covers
The artist Lana Del Rey is a very different artist with an individual style, and therefore I plan to research some of her album covers which will influence the way I set my digipak and my anciliary texts out.

The first album cover is for the track National Anthem, which is the song I am using for my music video. I definitely want to base the digipak on this cover, as it represents the track very well, and I really like the idea of the flag in the background, which I could easily re-create.
The second album cover is for the track Million Dollar Man. I like the use of the mise-en-scene in this album cover, because the title connotes wealth, and she looks very wealthy and well dressed in the cover, which again I could easily re-create because the song National Anthem is about money also.
The final album cover is for the track Blue Jeans. I like the cover as it is simple with a white background and good text which stands out well. I feel I could easily re-create this one as all I would need is a few images of the artist. I do however feel this one would be more suitable for the magazine advert, which I could incorporate into my ideas.

Update on my coursework
I have been unable to film in January when I planned to, because of a lot of exams and revision taking place in that month. I also decided to change the performer of the music video to a different girl, who also fits the genre well (like my previous artist). My previous performer also had a lot of exams in January, and therefore was unable to give me the time to film her, due to revision and exams etc.
Today and the rest of this week I will be taking some test shots of my new performer and the settings I plan to film her in.
I have chosen the new performer due to the fact I feel she will fit the mise-en-scene of the video more, and also fit well with the genre I plan to work with.
I will be taking the pictures today and will upload them onto my blog later on, and I will also finish filming my video this week, to edit it in time for the deadline.
I am also currently planning my anciliary texts, and have a few rough ideas of what I plan for my Digipak cover and the magazine advert to look like, which I will again post on my blog today.
I am currently roughly sketching them, which will then turn into furthering my designs on the computer, to eventually finish the final product again on the deadline.
